It is a real pleasure and absolute privilege, as Headteacher, to welcome you to Westoe Crown.

Nestled close to the coast on the historic Westoe Colliery site, our school is built on a vibrant community spirit and a deep family ethos. While we are a wonderfully large school, we take immense pride in creating a warm, friendly, and inviting home away from home. Here, every child, parent, and visitor is greeted with open arms, and every single pupil is truly seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are.

Partnership with our families is at the heart of everything we do. We know that when we work hand-in-hand with you—especially in encouraging fantastic attendance and positive behaviour—our children flourish both personally and academically.

I am deeply passionate about providing an outstanding, joyful education. Built on secure Early Years foundations, our passionate team delivers a creative, daring, and memorable curriculum where engineering and enterprise skills shine alongside strong academic achievement. We take pride in our inclusive approach, ensuring every child feels special, supported, and inspired to discover their unique talents across all areas of school life.

Our dream for our pupils is that they leave Westoe Crown in Year 6 as happy, confident, articulate, and empathetic young people—ready to embrace the world with open minds, curiosity, and respect for the diverse cultures around them.
